When you look at today's youth and Chappie, I'd say I don't see much significance between the two because a large percent... of the youth have homes and parents to care for them, while as others like Chappie, hate their parents and do drugs. The difference between us, real life people, and a fictional character named Chappie (Bone) is that our parents want us to have a better future. All of our parents have dreams of us having a job, making a family or even a full family thanksgiving dinner. Yes, all our parents want us to have the brightest future we can get. Chappie's mother, on the other hand, wants him to have the brightest future he can get, like most youth, he HATES it, he just wants to have the time of his life while he has one, fortunately he's got his wish but it came with a price, like all stories, all must come to an end. A life was taken for doing something good.
Like all kids, we all want to be heroes and our parents do whatever they can for us to achieve this dream either being a fireman or dying in a fire to save someone, I'd say he is different, we died to save.
